Adani Enterprises reported stronger operating earnings in the first half of fiscal 2027, although reported profit was pressured by exceptional items. In a company release dated October 28, 2026, the Adani Group flagship said consolidated revenue for the six months ended September 30 rose 62 percent year over year to Rs. 71,569 crore. EBITDA reached a record half-year level of Rs. 11,958 crore, up 56 percent.

The performance was supported by the ramp-up of the copper business and growth in infrastructure operations. Copper sales volume increased 5.2 times year over year in the first half to 145.3 kilotonnes, while the copper business contributed EBITDA of Rs. 2,033 crore. Airport EBITDA rose 52 percent to Rs. 3,275 crore, although passenger traffic edged lower.

Exceptional items reshape the profit picture

Profit after tax attributable to owners fell to Rs. 332 crore from Rs. 4,189 crore a year earlier. The comparison reflects a one-time settlement charge of Rs. 2,644 crore in the first quarter of fiscal 2027 and an exceptional gain of Rs. 3,583 crore in the prior-year period.

Excluding the settlement, continuing profit before tax increased 45 percent to Rs. 3,297 crore for the first half. In the September quarter, revenue rose 74 percent to Rs. 38,023 crore and EBITDA increased 62 percent to Rs. 6,316 crore. Continuing profit before tax climbed 146 percent to Rs. 2,002 crore.

Adani Enterprises also said Adani New Industries had completed the expansion of its solar module capacity to 10 gigawatts. Its data-center unit, AdaniConnex, received a new 240-megawatt hyperscale order in Navi Mumbai, taking cumulative tied-up capacity above 1.2 gigawatts, according to the company.

Execution remains the key investor focus

The results point to improving operating leverage as newer businesses scale, but the profit figures underline the effect of exceptional charges and prior-year comparisons. For investors, the pace of copper production, data-center commissioning and solar capacity utilisation will remain important indicators for the next reporting periods.
