- Adani Enterprises reported sharply higher second-quarter total income and EBITDA for FY27.
- Copper production and new-energy capacity were key drivers of the half-year performance.
- A one-time OFAC settlement weighed heavily on first-half profit attributable to owners.
Adani Enterprises reported stronger operating performance in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, while a one-time charge continued to weigh on its first-half earnings. The company announced the results on October 28 in an official release.
Consolidated total income rose 74 percent year over year to INR 38,023 crore in Q2 FY27, while EBITDA increased 62 percent to INR 6,316 crore. Continuing profit before tax climbed 146 percent to INR 2,002 crore, showing that the underlying operating improvement was stronger than the headline profit figure.
Copper drives half-year expansion
For the six months through September, total income increased 62 percent to INR 71,569 crore and EBITDA reached INR 11,958 crore, the highest half-year level reported by the company. Continuing profit before tax rose 45 percent to INR 3,297 crore.
Adani Enterprises said the copper business contributed EBITDA of INR 2,033 crore in the first half. Copper sales volume rose 5.2 times year over year to 145.3 kilotonnes, indicating that the recently expanded operation is becoming a material earnings contributor. The company also completed expansion of its Adani New Industries solar-module capacity to 10 gigawatts.
One-time charge distorts profit
Profit after tax attributable to owners fell 55 percent year over year to INR 1,492 crore in the second quarter, against a year-earlier figure that included a large exceptional gain. First-half profit attributable to owners was INR 332 crore, compared with INR 4,189 crore a year earlier, after a INR 2,644 crore one-time OFAC settlement recorded in the first quarter.
The official release also highlighted a new 240-megawatt hyperscale order for AdaniConnex in Navi Mumbai, taking cumulative tied-up data-center capacity above 1.2 gigawatts. CARE Ratings upgraded the company's long-term credit rating to AA with a stable outlook, according to the release.
What investors watch next
The results shift attention toward execution: copper volumes, solar manufacturing, airports and data centers will determine whether the stronger EBITDA trend broadens across the portfolio. Investors must also weigh the capital required for expansion against the improvement in operating earnings.
