Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone is expanding its international footprint with the planned acquisition of Dutch liquid-storage operator Evos BV for an enterprise value of 2.56 billion euros, Business Today reported on Friday, November 6, 2026. Evos is described as Europe's second-largest independent liquid-storage operator.

European storage platform expands

The transaction would give Adani Ports a platform of eight port terminals in five countries and increase its overall footprint from 20 to 28 ports and terminals across 10 countries. The company said the deal would diversify its liquids portfolio and provide exposure to longer-term demand for fuels such as sustainable aviation fuel and biofuels.

Completion is expected within 15 months. The acquisition is structured as an all-cash transaction and is subject to regulatory approvals and works council consultation. Evos generated revenue of 392 million euros and EBITDA of 219 million euros in calendar 2025, according to the report.

Brokerages assess the transaction

JM Financial described the valuation as broadly in line with that of listed European liquids operator Royal Vopak. The brokerage said the assets could provide annuity-type storage EBITDA through take-or-pay contracts with CPI-linked escalations, while initial synergies with Adani Ports' Indian operations appear limited.

Motilal Oswal expects cargo volumes to grow 14 percent between FY26 and FY28 and projects compound annual growth of 17 percent in revenue, 18 percent in EBITDA and 21 percent in profit after tax over that period. It reiterated a Buy rating and a target of INR 2,170. JM Financial cited a target of INR 2,065, while Elara Capital raised its target to INR 2,432 from INR 2,107.

What investors should watch next

The transaction increases geographic diversification but also adds debt-funded expansion and execution requirements. Investors will likely focus on regulatory completion, the integration of the European terminals and whether value-added services can lift returns on capital over time.
