Air Liquide reported stronger third-quarter momentum on October 29, led by Electronics and Industrial Merchant, and launched the first tranche of a long-term share buyback program. The company also maintained its operating-margin ambitions for 2026 and 2027.

According to Air Liquide, third-quarter revenue reached nearly EUR 7.3 billion. Revenue rose 4.3 percent excluding currency and energy effects and 3 percent on a comparable basis. Gas and Services increased 3.6 percent on a comparable basis, while Industrial Merchant gained 5 percent and Electronics advanced 12 percent.

The company said it remained confident of increasing its operating margin by 100 basis points in 2026 and delivering recurring net-profit growth at constant exchange rates. It also confirmed a further 100-basis-point margin improvement ambition for 2027. The BEYOND plan targets growth through 2030, including higher industrial investment and a EUR 4 billion buyback program through the end of 2028.

Louisiana project adds another catalyst

On November 3, Simply Wall St reported that Air Liquide had committed USD 350 million to expand its Louisiana pipeline network and build a new air-separation unit. The project is intended to support a planned low-carbon steel facility. The investment strengthens the growth narrative, while delivery of large projects remains central to the valuation case.
