AkzoNobel stock puts refinishing launches in SEMA spotlight

AkzoNobel is using the SEMA Show in Las Vegas to present new refinishing products, custom colors and vehicle builds from Tuesday, November 3, through Friday, November 6, 2026. The program gives the coatings group a commercial showcase in vehicle restoration and collision repair, according to Coatings World.

New products target color matching

AkzoNobel plans to unveil a new refinish product line on Wednesday, November 4. The offering is aimed at original-equipment color matching for restorers, builders and automotive enthusiasts, a segment where accurate reproduction of factory colors is a central requirement.

Commercial Director Maximilien Schréder said the North American Automotive & Specialty Coatings business had focused on customer needs in products and services ahead of the show. The company is presenting the launch alongside new custom colors in its Modern Classikk paint portfolio.

Workflow tools support body shops

At booth 35144 in the South Hall, AkzoNobel is demonstrating Carbeat, its digital body-shop workflow control solution. The company says the system is designed to improve communication and production efficiency within collision centers as part of its Acoat Selected program for Sikkens customers.

Sikkens Autowave Optima and AutoClear 2.0 are also being presented as a combined offering for collision-repair operations. An outdoor display at Silver Lot 80041 includes three custom vehicle unveilings with Kindig-It Design, including a 1969 Dodge Super Bee and two CF1 builds.
