- Amrize raised third-quarter revenue by 2.2 percent and net income by 3.3 percent year over year.
- Building Envelope adjusted EBITDA fell as freight and raw-material costs outweighed stronger commercial roofing demand.
- Management expects price-cost positivity in Building Envelope to move into 2027.
- A quarterly dividend of 0.11 US dollars per share is scheduled for November 18.
Amrize reported resilient third-quarter results on October 28, 2026, but pushed the expected recovery in roofing profitability further into the future. The company cited continued cost inflation and elevated interest rates when updating its full-year outlook.
In its third-quarter results release, Amrize reported revenue of 3.771 billion US dollars, up 2.2 percent from the prior-year quarter. Net income increased 3.3 percent to 558 million US dollars, while adjusted EBITDA edged up 0.2 percent to 1.076 billion US dollars. Adjusted diluted earnings per share were unchanged at 1.05 US dollars.
Roofing Costs Weigh On Margins
The pressure was concentrated in Building Envelope, which includes roofing products. Segment revenue rose 3.6 percent to 929 million US dollars, supported by commercial roofing volumes, data-center projects and industrial demand. Segment adjusted EBITDA, however, fell 14.6 percent to 182 million US dollars as higher freight and raw-material costs outweighed improved pricing and surcharges.
Residential roofing remained weaker because existing-home sales were sluggish and the quarter lacked significant storms that typically support reroofing demand. Amrize said commercial volumes should remain resilient, while residential roofing is expected to stay softer. Management expects the segment's price-cost performance to improve sequentially in the fourth quarter, but now expects price-cost positivity in Building Envelope in 2027.
Building Materials provided a stronger counterweight. Revenue increased 1.8 percent to 2.842 billion US dollars and segment adjusted EBITDA rose 2.7 percent to 938 million US dollars. Cement pricing increased 1.8 percent on a constant-currency basis and aggregates pricing grew 6.9 percent, helping expand the segment margin by 30 basis points. Weather reduced cement volumes by 4.2 percent and aggregates volumes by 0.2 percent.
Guidance Reflects A Harder Finish
Amrize now expects 2026 revenue of 12.2 billion to 12.4 billion US dollars and adjusted EBITDA of 2.95 billion to 3.05 billion US dollars. The company expects Building Materials to become price-cost positive in the fourth quarter as pricing, energy, fuel and freight surcharges, and cost savings offset inflation. Its ASPIRE program delivered 73 million US dollars of savings through the first nine months and remains targeted at 80 million US dollars for the full year.
Amrize stock traded at 39.58 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:03 CET on Thursday, November 5, 2026. Investors can follow the real-time quote of Amrize stock.
