ANZ Group Holdings stock: reporting reset sets new FY 2026 baseline
Published on 10/30/2026 at 10:08 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSWhat changes before full-year reporting
- ANZ is moving selected home loans, foreign-exchange revenue and payments revenue into the divisions managing those customer relationships.
- The revised structure will first appear in the Group's Full Year 2026 divisional reporting.
- ANZ says the changes do not alter statutory profit, cash profit, net assets or capital.
ANZ Group Holdings announced on Wednesday, October 28, that it will change the way it presents divisional performance ahead of its Full Year 2026 reporting. The bank said the revised structure is designed to match customer relationships, resource allocation and performance management more closely. The announcement was published by the ANZ newsroom.
New basis for divisional comparisons
ANZ has moved home loans and associated offset accounts for Business & Private Bank customers from Australia Retail to Business & Private Bank. The related revenue and expenses will move with the customer relationships, reflecting the division that manages the Business-Owners Home-Owners segment.
The bank will also transfer a share of Markets revenue from foreign exchange and Payments & Cash Management. Revenue generated by Australia Retail, Business & Private Bank and New Zealand customers is to be recognized in the respective customer-facing divisions rather than entirely in Institutional.
ANZ said the changes were implemented during the September 2026 half and will be reflected in the divisional financial information for the full year. Prior-period divisional figures have been restated for comparison, while the Suncorp Bank and Pacific divisions remain unchanged.
Group figures remain unchanged
The reporting reset does not change the Group's statutory profit, cash profit, net assets or capital position. Investors will therefore need to distinguish between changes in divisional attribution and changes in the bank's consolidated financial performance.
ANZ also reduced the operating expenses retained by Group Centre from 13% to 9% in the March 2026 half and the September 2025 full year. The bank said the reallocation better matches resource consumption and capital usage with economic activity and revenue generation in the divisions.
Net Fee and Commission income will now appear separately on the face of the income statement. Previously, the item was presented only in the notes, so the new format should make the composition of non-interest income easier to assess in the next results release.
