- Aon posted broad-based third-quarter growth across its main operating businesses.
- The USI acquisition remains targeted for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.
- Aon expanded its 2027 treaty facility to support a larger share of eligible placements.
Aon entered the final quarter with two developments for investors: strong third-quarter operating momentum and a larger committed capacity facility for 2027. On October 28, Aon said in its third-quarter results release that revenue increased 3 percent year over year and organic revenue growth reached 6 percent.
Operating Growth Meets Deal Execution
Growth was broad-based across Aon's businesses. Organic revenue rose 7 percent in Commercial Risk and Reinsurance, 6 percent in Health and 4 percent in Wealth. Adjusted earnings per share increased 10 percent to 3.36 US dollars, while adjusted operating margin widened to 27 percent.
Aon continues to expect the USI acquisition to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Management said the transaction will be followed by a focus on debt repayment, with a target leverage range of 2.8 to 3.0 times within roughly 24 months. For shareholders, execution after closing remains central because the deal adds both integration demands and a path to a larger US middle-market platform.
More Reinsurance Capacity From 2027
Aon announced on November 4 that it had renewed the Aon Client Treaty for 2027. From January 1, the facility will provide 35 percent co-insurance on eligible business placed through Aon's Global Broking Centre and on facultative reinsurance placed by Aon Reinsurance Solutions, up from 28.5 percent.
As Insurance Journal reported, the facility is backed by market partners including QBE and Lloyd's syndicates. The 1.5 percent client dividend remains available on the larger eligible share where local law and regulation permit. The expansion is particularly relevant to large or complex risks that require facultative reinsurance capacity.
