Growth combines acquisitions and retention
Reported revenue before reimbursements rose to USD 3.930 billion from USD 3.325 billion in the year-earlier quarter. Reported net earnings increased to USD 406 million from USD 273 million, while diluted earnings per share rose to USD 1.55 from USD 1.04.
The company also presented adjusted figures to improve comparability. Adjusted revenue before reimbursements reached USD 3.917 billion, compared with USD 3.336 billion a year earlier. Adjusted net earnings rose to USD 782 million from USD 604 million, adjusted EBITDAC increased to USD 1.253 billion from USD 1.013 billion, and adjusted diluted earnings per share climbed to USD 3.00 from USD 2.31.
Management attributed the operating progress to client retention, new business, growth in clients' businesses and acquisitions. Brokerage revenue increased to USD 3.473 billion from USD 2.922 billion, with organic growth of 5 percent. Risk Management revenue before reimbursements rose to USD 457 million from USD 402 million, while organic fees increased 10 percent.
Outlook stays intact after earnings
Gallagher maintained its full-year 2026 organic-growth outlook of approximately 6 percent for the combined Brokerage and Risk Management segments. Management also indicated that fourth-quarter and full-year Brokerage organic growth should be near 5 percent, keeping execution and integration central to the investment case.
The comparison with the prior year includes a significant base effect. Gallagher said third-quarter 2025 Brokerage results benefited from approximately USD 76 million of interest income earned on cash proceeds connected with the AssuredPartners financing. The company therefore also supplied adjusted comparisons that exclude selected variable and acquisition-related items.
Capital returns continued during the quarter. Gallagher repurchased approximately 0.4 million common shares for approximately USD 100 million and declared a quarterly dividend of USD 0.70 per share, up from USD 0.65 a year earlier. The dividend adds shareholder distributions to the operating-growth and acquisition themes investors are monitoring.
