- Third-quarter net revenue and organic revenue each increased, while operating margin expanded year over year.
- International markets drove global volume growth, but North American unit case volume was flat.
- Management cited continued momentum while highlighting higher marketing and operating expenses.
The Coca-Cola Company reported stronger third-quarter results on October 27, 2026, and raised its full-year guidance. In its third-quarter results release, the beverage maker said global demand and operating execution supported revenue and profit growth.
Global Volume Drives Quarterly Growth
Net revenue increased 7% to 13.4 billion US dollars, while organic revenue, a non-GAAP measure that excludes specified structural and currency effects, also grew 7%. Operating income rose 12%. Reported earnings per share increased 8% to 0.93 US dollars, and comparable earnings per share rose 11% to 0.91 US dollars.
Operating margin widened to 33.4% from 32.0% in the year-earlier quarter. Comparable operating margin increased to 32.9% from 31.9%. Coca-Cola said organic revenue growth and currency tailwinds supported profitability, while higher marketing investment and operating expenses limited the expansion.
Global unit case volume grew 5%, led by India, China, Mexico and Brazil. Trademark Coca-Cola volume increased 5%, while Coca-Cola Zero Sugar grew 16%. Water, sports, coffee and tea volume also rose 5%, with water up 8%.
Regional Mix Remains Uneven
The growth profile was not uniform. North American unit case volume was flat, as growth in Trademark Coca-Cola was offset by lower volume in water, sports, coffee and tea. Price/mix in the region increased 1%, with operating income and comparable currency-neutral operating income each growing 5%.
Latin America was a stronger contributor, with unit case volume up 6% and price/mix up 7%. Operating income increased 29%, while comparable currency-neutral operating income rose 14%. In Asia Pacific, volume increased 6%, although price/mix declined 2% because of unfavorable mix. Europe, the Middle East and Africa recorded 5% volume growth.
Outlook Keeps Investor Focus On Execution
Management raised its full-year 2026 guidance after the quarter. Chief Executive Henrique Braun said the results showed sustained momentum and supported the updated outlook. The company also pointed to continued investment in brands, capabilities and people as it seeks to maintain growth across markets.
For investors, the main tension is between broad international volume gains and softer North American demand. The quarter also showed that revenue growth is being supported by volume, pricing and mix, while marketing spending, operating costs and regional mix remain important factors for future margins.
