- CrowdStrike reported a 129 percent increase in malicious activity targeting US law firms in its 2026 Legal Threat Landscape Report.
- The NVIDIA collaboration extends Falcon Guardian from software-based protection toward hardware-level enforcement for AI agents.
- Future recurring-revenue disclosures will show whether the expanded AI-security strategy is translating into commercial momentum.
CrowdStrike stock is under renewed investor scrutiny after new threat intelligence highlighted a sharp rise in attacks on US law firms. CrowdStrike released its 2026 Legal Threat Landscape Report on October 28, while its expanded NVIDIA collaboration adds a second, AI-focused growth angle.
The report found that malicious activity linked to the CHATTY SPIDER group targeting legal entities increased 129 percent. CrowdStrike said attackers are combining digital intrusions with physical tactics to reach confidential client, transaction and intellectual-property information. The findings reinforce demand for protection spanning endpoints, identities and cloud environments, but they do not establish new customer bookings.
Threat intelligence supports platform expansion
According to CrowdStrike, financially motivated adversaries accounted for 82 percent of observed malicious activity against the legal sector. The company also said 455 legal entities were named on data-leak sites, a 39 percent year-over-year increase.
Those figures strengthen the commercial case for CrowdStrike's broader Falcon platform. The investment question is whether heightened threat activity leads to higher adoption of identity protection, cloud security, next-generation SIEM and other recurring-revenue modules.
NVIDIA tie-up broadens AI focus
CrowdStrike's October 21 announcement with NVIDIA connects Falcon Guardian with NVIDIA OpenShell and plans support for NVIDIA Sentry. The companies aim to extend AI Detection and Response from agent runtimes toward hardware-based enforcement, giving enterprises more visibility into autonomous AI workflows.
