- DBS's report says 88 percent of surveyed businesses are deploying or piloting tokenised-money use cases.
- Around three in four respondents expect AI to improve treasury management, payments and collections within two years.
- The findings position banks as potential technology and integration partners for increasingly complex corporate finance operations.
DBS Group is presenting tokenised money and artificial intelligence as practical tools for corporate treasury operations, adding a technology angle to the bank's transaction-services business. The findings come from The Great Rewiring: Money in a new order, a report published by DBS on October 28, 2026.
The Asian Banker reports that the survey covered 422 business and finance leaders across 11 markets. Their companies generated more than 500 million US dollars in annual revenue.
AI moves into treasury operations
Around three in four respondents said they had experienced or expected improvements within two years in cash and liquidity forecasting, payment investigations, post-settlement issue resolution, reconciliation and exception detection. The report therefore links AI adoption to routine control and payment processes rather than only to experimental projects.
Tokenised money is also moving beyond isolated trials. The survey found that 88 percent of businesses were already deploying or piloting related use cases. Stablecoins led the listed instruments at 63 percent, followed by tokenised deposits at 53 percent and tokenised money market funds at 52 percent.

Banks seek a larger technology role
The report says 64 percent of respondents wanted banks to serve as a single point of integration into the tokenised-money ecosystem, while 63 percent sought support for pilots, proofs of concept and integration. For DBS, that demand supports a broader role as an infrastructure and implementation partner, although the survey does not establish transaction volumes or cost savings.
