Eaton Corporation reported record third-quarter sales on November 3, 2026, and raised its full-year organic-growth and adjusted-earnings outlook for the third time this year. The power-management company said sales reached 8.947 billion US dollars for the quarter ended September 30, up 28 percent from the prior-year period, according to the Eaton results release published by FinanzNachrichten.
Demand accelerates across electrical markets
Organic sales growth was 19 percent, while acquisitions contributed 8 percentage points and foreign-exchange effects added 1 percentage point. Eaton said record orders and broader end-market strength lifted the twelve-month rolling average of organic orders by 39 percent in Electrical Americas, 51 percent in Electrical Global and 20 percent in Aerospace.
Electrical Americas generated record sales of 4.172 billion US dollars, with organic growth of 22 percent. Segment operating profit reached 1.243 billion US dollars and the margin rose to 29.8 percent. Electrical Global sales increased to 2.727 billion US dollars, helped by the Boyd Thermal acquisition, while operating profit rose to 576 million US dollars.
Aerospace sales advanced 11 percent to a quarterly record of 1.196 billion US dollars. Mobility sales reached 852 million US dollars, with organic growth of 9 percent. Eaton also reported strong backlogs, with Electrical backlog up 46 percent and Aerospace backlog up 33 percent from a year earlier.
Higher outlook raises expectations
Segment margins reached a record 25.3 percent, 30 basis points above the upper end of the previous guidance range. Adjusted earnings per share were a record 3.68 US dollars, compared with GAAP earnings per share of 2.77 US dollars. The adjusted figure excluded 0.62 US dollars per share of intangible-amortization expense and 0.30 US dollars related to acquisition and divestiture charges.
Eaton now expects full-year organic growth of 13 to 15 percent, compared with its previous range of 11 to 13 percent. Adjusted earnings per share are forecast at 13.70 to 13.80 US dollars, while segment margins are expected to range from 24.1 to 24.5 percent. For the fourth quarter, management expects organic growth of 13 to 15 percent, segment margins of 25.4 to 25.8 percent and adjusted earnings per share of 4.05 to 4.15 US dollars.
The company also raised its full-year revenue outlook for Boyd Thermal to 1.9 billion US dollars, including 1.6 billion US dollars expected to be recorded in Eaton's results during the year. Eaton said it plans to acquire COL Group for 810 million euros, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, with completion expected in the first quarter of 2027.
