ENGIE stock enters the final quarter after a busy week for the French energy group. On Thursday, November 5, Reuters reported that third-quarter earnings rose 35.7 percent and beat expectations as grid networks lifted revenue. The company said its full-year 2026 recurring net income should land toward the upper end of its 4.9 billion to 5.5 billion euro guidance range.
ENGIE's own 9M 2026 results release said EBIT excluding Nuclear reached 7.0 billion euros in the first nine months. The figure increased 9.7 percent on a published basis and 3.3 percent organically. In the third quarter, organic growth in EBIT excluding Nuclear reached 10.9 percent.
Networks and renewables support execution
Infrastructure was a key contributor to the update. ENGIE reported a 452 million euro EBIT contribution from UK Power Networks since its consolidation in May. The group also had 60.2 gigawatts of installed renewable and battery storage capacity at the end of September, with another 6.6 gigawatts under construction. More than 3 gigawatts of power purchase agreements were signed in the first nine months.
Renewable expansion also advanced in India. Manufacturing Today India reported on October 30 that ENGIE commissioned the 250 MW Khaba project in Rajasthan and the 200 MW Khavda project in Gujarat. Khavda is backed by a 25-year power purchase agreement, while the two projects are expected to generate about 1,000 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually.
