Eurofins Scientific lowered its 2026 organic-growth outlook on Wednesday, October 21, while reporting a third consecutive quarter of improvement. The company said in its official trading update that full-year organic growth is likely to remain below its previous mid-single-digit objective.

Eurofins stock traded at 88.43 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:32 CET on Monday, November 2, 2026.

Quarterly momentum improves

Revenue for the first nine months reached 5.614 billion euros, up 3.7 percent from the same period in 2025. Organic growth was 3.0 percent, or 2.9 percent after the adjustment for public working days. Foreign-exchange effects reduced reported growth by 1.7 percentage points, while discontinuations and disposals created a further 0.7-point headwind.

The quarterly sequence was stronger: organic growth rose from 2.5 percent in the first quarter to 3.0 percent in the second and 3.5 percent in the third. The third-quarter rate was 3.2 percent after the public-working-days adjustment. Eurofins said the improvement included broad-based acceleration in BioPharma, mid-single-digit growth in BioPharma Product Testing and a return to positive growth in Discovery & Genomics.

2026 growth target becomes harder

Management attributed the weaker full-year outlook to market conditions that remained slower than normal after nine months and to clinical programs that are not expected to restart in 2026. The revised view removes the prospect of reaching the original mid-single-digit organic-growth objective during the current year, even though the sequential trend has improved.

Acquisition-led expansion is becoming more important in the revenue mix. Eurofins expects 2026 acquisition revenue to exceed its previous annualized objective of 250 million euros, based on completed transactions including Element's North America Life Sciences Testing Services business. The company also said it closed 22 acquisitions with 2025 revenue above 210 million euros during the first nine months, excluding the Element transaction from that figure.

For investors, the update presents a mixed operating signal. Underlying growth is improving, but the lower full-year target points to a slower demand environment and leaves more of the 2026 revenue contribution dependent on acquisitions. Execution on integration and the timing of clinical-program recoveries will therefore remain important to the investment case.

Profitability targets remain in place

Eurofins retained its 2026 profitability and cash-flow objectives. It continues to target further adjusted EBITDA margin progress in 2026 from the 22.5 percent level recorded in 2025, with a 24 percent adjusted EBITDA margin objective for 2027. The company also expects free cash flow available to the company to grow and cash conversion to remain strong.

Management expects organic growth to return to the mid-single-digit range in 2027. Chief Executive Gilles Martin said the group was encouraged by the sequential improvement and pointed to further benefits from its hub-and-spoke network, start-up investments, productivity measures and digitalization projects.
