- Eurofins reported nine-month revenue of 5.614 billion euros, up 3.7 percent year over year.
- Organic growth accelerated through the first three quarters, while the company lowered its 2026 organic-growth outlook below the previous mid-single-digit objective.
- Profitability and cash-flow objectives remain unchanged, including a 24 percent adjusted EBITDA margin target for 2027.
Eurofins Scientific reported improving organic growth through the first nine months of 2026, but lowered its full-year growth outlook. The company published the trading update on Wednesday, October 21, before the opening of Euronext Paris, according to its official press release. Eurofins stock traded at 88.23 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:42:36 Berlin time on Friday, October 30, 2026.
The company generated reported revenue of 5.614 billion euros in the nine-month period, an increase of 3.7 percent from the same period a year earlier. Organic revenue growth reached 3.0 percent, or 2.9 percent after adjusting for public working days. Foreign-exchange effects reduced reported growth by 1.7 percentage points, while discontinuations and disposals created a further 0.7-point headwind.
Sequential momentum strengthens
Organic growth improved in each quarter, moving from 2.5 percent in the first quarter to 3.0 percent in the second and 3.5 percent in the third. The third-quarter rate was 3.2 percent after the public-working-days adjustment. Eurofins said the improvement included broad-based acceleration in BioPharma, mid-single-digit growth in BioPharma Product Testing and a return to positive growth at Discovery & Genomics.
Regional performance remained uneven. Organic growth in the first nine months was 1.9 percent in Europe, 2.8 percent in North America and 9.3 percent in the rest of the world. The company also completed 22 acquisitions with 2025 revenue of more than 210 million euros, excluding the North American Life Sciences Testing Services business acquired from Element.
2026 outlook becomes more cautious
Eurofins said full-year 2026 organic growth is likely to fall below its previous mid-single-digit objective. Management attributed the change to market conditions that have remained slower than normal and to expected clinical programs that will not restart this year. The update therefore points to a slower top-line outcome even as the quarterly trend improves.
Acquisition revenue for 2026 is expected to exceed the previous annualized objective of 250 million euros. For 2027, Eurofins expects to return to mid-single-digit organic growth. The company maintained its 2026 profitability and cash-flow objectives and still expects adjusted EBITDA margin to improve from the 2025 level of 22.5 percent toward the 2027 target of 24 percent.
Margin roadmap remains intact
Chief Executive Gilles Martin said the sequential improvement and the acceleration in BioPharma were encouraging. He also pointed to the expected benefits of Eurofins' hub-and-spoke laboratory network, maturing start-up laboratories, digitalization projects and productivity initiatives. The company expects stronger free cash flow and continued solid cash conversion, while non-recurring items at the EBITDA level should decline from the 2025 level.
