Eurofins stock weighs softer 2026 outlook after Q3 pickup

- Eurofins reported stronger sequential organic growth through the third quarter of 2026.
- The company expects full-year organic growth below its previous mid-single-digit objective.
- Profitability and cash-flow objectives remain unchanged, while acquisition revenue is expected to exceed the former annualized target.
Eurofins Scientific reported improving organic growth through the first nine months of 2026, but lowered its full-year organic-growth ambition. In a press release published on October 21, 2026, the company said market conditions remained slower than normal and some expected clinical programs would not restart during the year.
Sequential growth gains momentum
Reported revenue for the first nine months reached 5.614 billion euros, up 3.7 percent from the prior-year period. Organic growth was 3.0 percent, or 2.9 percent after the adjustment for public working days.
The quarterly trend improved steadily. Organic growth rose from 2.5 percent in the first quarter to 3.0 percent in the second and 3.5 percent in the third. On a public-working-day-adjusted basis, the corresponding rates were 2.6 percent, 2.9 percent and 3.2 percent.
Eurofins attributed the third-quarter improvement partly to a broad-based acceleration in BioPharma. BioPharma Product Testing delivered mid-single-digit growth, while Discovery & Genomics returned to positive growth. The company also reported an expected improvement in its CDMO business, although other ancillary activities remained mixed.
Lower 2026 organic-growth ambition
For the full year, Eurofins now expects organic growth below its previous mid-single-digit objective. The company cited slower-than-normal market conditions after nine months and clinical programs that are not expected to restart in 2026. The revised view concerns organic growth, which excludes the effects of acquisitions, disposals and currency movements.
Acquisition-led expansion is providing a counterweight. Revenue from acquisitions in 2026 is expected to exceed the previous annualized objective of 250 million euros, based on transactions already completed, including Element's North America Life Sciences Testing Services business. Eurofins closed 22 acquisitions with 2025 revenue above 210 million euros during the first nine months, excluding that Element transaction.
Profit targets remain intact
Eurofins kept its 2026 profitability and cash-flow objectives unchanged. Management expects adjusted EBITDA margin to improve in 2026 from the 2025 level of 22.5 percent and continue moving toward the 2027 objective of 24 percent. The company also expects free cash flow to grow and cash conversion to remain strong.
Chief Executive Gilles Martin said the sequential growth improvement and BioPharma acceleration supported progress toward the group's longer-term objectives. He pointed to productivity gains, digitalization projects and the developing hub-and-spoke laboratory network as additional factors for the medium-term margin profile.
Stock context for investors
Eurofins stock traded at 88.16 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 12:02 CET on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. The quote reflects the market's current assessment of a business with improving quarterly momentum but a lower near-term organic-growth ambition. The unchanged margin and cash-flow goals, together with acquisition revenue above the earlier objective, keep execution and the recovery of clinical demand central to the investment case.
