- FedEx raised its calendar 2026 adjusted earnings outlook after a stronger September quarter.
- Revenue increased year over year, while transportation and fuel expenses put pressure on margins.
- A 5.9 percent average parcel-rate increase is scheduled for January 4, 2027.
FedEx stock was 3.39 percent below the 288.80-euro quote cited in the previous report at 16:34 CET on Thursday, November 5. The move comes as investors weigh the company's higher 2026 earnings outlook against rising operating costs.
The real-time quote of FedEx stock was 279.00 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 17:00 CET on Friday, November 6, 3.56 percent below the Xetra close of Thursday, November 5, at 289.30 euros. The quote was 3.39 percent below the 288.80 euros reported by Ad-Hoc-News on November 5.
Higher guidance, tighter margin test
FedEx raised its calendar 2026 adjusted diluted earnings outlook to 18.00 to 18.60 U.S. dollars per share from 16.90 to 18.10 U.S. dollars. The company also lifted its revenue-growth forecast to about 12 percent from 11 percent, according to the FedEx newsroom release published on October 28.
For the quarter ended September 30, revenue rose to 22.9 billion U.S. dollars from 20.4 billion dollars a year earlier. Adjusted diluted earnings per share increased to 3.74 U.S. dollars from 2.93 dollars, and adjusted operating margin improved to 5.3 percent from 5.1 percent.
FedEx said higher package yields, stronger volumes and structural cost reductions supported the result. Purchased transportation expense rose 19 percent year over year to 6.455 billion U.S. dollars, while fuel expense increased 64 percent to 1.270 billion dollars. Those costs keep execution and margin expansion central to the investment case.
