Based on preliminary and unaudited figures, the online broker increased revenue by 26% year-over-year to €167 million (Q2 2025: €132 million) and Net Income by 55% to €61 million (Q2 2025: €40 million). This marks the first time in the company’s history that flatexDEGIRO has achieved quarterly Net Income of over €60 million and half-year Net Income of over €115 million. This performance was driven by both higher Commission Income from brokerage and increased Interest Income, which rose despite the low market interest rate environment. At the same time, operating expenses declined slightly in the second quarter despite a significant increase in Revenues and higher marketing expenses. CEO Oliver Behrens said: “More and more people in Europe are taking responsibility for building their long-term wealth. We see this development every day on our platform and are one of the biggest beneficiaries of this trend. The fact that we are expected to reach or even exceed our revenue and earnings targets set for 2027 as early as 2026 underscores the strength of our business model.” In the second quarter, Commission Income rose by 29% to €107 million (Q2 2025: €83 million) due to a higher number of Settled Transactions and higher average commissions per transaction. The capital markets continued to be marked by ongoing volatility, triggered by geopolitical conflicts and their impact on global supply and value chains. Interest Income of €53 million (Q2 2025: €43 million) benefited from higher cash deposits, which averaged 33% above the prior-year quarter, an average 29% increase in the utilization of margin loans, and stronger treasury activity, which more than offset the lower market interest rate environment. Operating expenses down – record Net Income of €61 million Operating expenses declined slightly by 1% in the second quarter, totaling €60 million (Q2 2025: €60 million). The main drivers were lower personnel expenses, which, at €24 million, were 21% below the level of the same quarter a year earlier (Q2 2025: €31 million). Marketing expenses rose moderately in the second quarter from €7 million in 2025 to €9 million in 2026, while other administrative expenses increased from €13 million to €14 million over the same period. Due to the high scalability of the business model, the increase in Revenues combined with declining expenses led to a disproportionately large rise in Net Income of 55% to €61 million (Q2 2025: €40 million). CFO Dr. Benon Janos said: “Our figures impressively demonstrate the scalability of our business model. While Revenues rose by 26% in the second quarter, we were even able to slightly reduce operating expenses. The result is disproportionately high profit growth and a Net Income margin of more than 40%.” Continued operational growth in volatile markets In the second quarter, flatexDEGIRO settled 21.9 million transactions for its customers, an increase of approximately 22% compared with the same quarter of the previous year (Q2 2025: 18.0 million transactions). The average commissions per transaction rose from €4.39 to €4.64 (+6%). The annualized average trading activity per customer was 24.2, compared to 22.2 in the same quarter of the previous year (+9%). The number of customer accounts stood at 3.66 million at the end of the quarter, an increase of 5% compared to the end of 2025 and 11% over the past 12 months (12/25: 3.47 million customer accounts; 06/25: 3.29 million customer accounts). In the second quarter, approximately 89,300 new customer accounts were opened (Q2 2025: approx. 103,100 new customer accounts). The above-average growth in new customers in the prior year was due in no small part to market volatility surrounding “Liberation Day” in April 2025. Thanks to their high-performance platforms, flatex and DEGIRO were able to distinguish themselves positively from the competition during these periods of heavy trading activity. Net Cash Inflows in the first half of 2026 totaled €5.2 billion, nearly matching the record level from the same period the previous year (H1 2025: €5.6 billion). With the exception of April (“Liberation Day” in 2025), Net Cash Inflows in all months of the first half of 2026 were at or, in some cases, significantly above the prior-year level. Assets under Custody exceeded the €100 billion mark for the first time, totaling €108.3 billion as of the end of June (06/25: €83.5 billion). At €101.8 billion, Securities under Custody included in this figure also exceeded €100 billion for the first time (06/25: €78.4 billion), while customer deposits rose to €6.5 billion (06/25: €5.1 billion). Tapping into additional growth drivers In terms of its Revenues and earnings growth, flatexDEGIRO is also benefiting from a steady expansion of its product and service offerings. The crypto offering, rolled out in 2025, stands out for its low and transparent prices and, despite the current subdued market sentiment, is recording average monthly trading volumes of more than €100 million. In addition, the company is continuing to expand its securities lending program. In the first half of 2026, DEGIRO customers already generated additional passive income in the seven-figure euro range from their portfolios, while retaining full control and enjoying the highest possible level of security. In the first quarter of 2026, flatex also expanded its savings plan offerings in Germany and Austria to include stocks as an additional asset class. This allows customers to regularly invest in a selection of over 1,000 stocks, including fractional shares, starting with a savings contribution of just €25. An expansion of DEGIRO’s savings plan offerings is planned for the end of the year. Additional opportunities will arise from the reform of tax-subsidized private retirement savings in Germany, set to take effect in early 2027. The retirement savings account included in this reform will provide a return-oriented retirement savings option through which the German government aims to make private retirement savings more profitable, cost-effective, simpler, and more flexible. CEO Oliver Behrens said: “State-subsidized, capital-market-based retirement savings are on the way. With the best retirement savings account on the market, we want to help our flatex customers make the most of the opportunities it offers for financial security in retirement. Plan for the future instead of worrying about it.” Even outside its traditional online brokerage business, flatexDEGIRO is capitalizing on its growth opportunities and expanding its “Deposits as a Service” division by adding one to two new customers annually. Boosted in part by the market launch of its first new customer in March 2026, Hamburg Commercial Bank (HCOB), flatexDEGIRO reported an increase of just under 18% in its other operating income in the first half of 2026. 2026 full-year forecast raised - mid-term target for 2027 expected to be achieved ahead of schedule or even exceeded Following the strong start to the year, flatexDEGIRO is significantly raising its full-year forecast for 2026. Full-year Revenues are expected to rise by approximately 16% compared to the record year of 2025, reaching approximately €650 million. Net Income is expected to rise disproportionately by 25 to 43%, reaching a range of €200 to 230 million. The Management Board therefore expects to fully achieve, or even exceed, the medium-term targets originally set for 2027, namely annual Revenues of approximately €650 million and Net Income of approximately €200 million, a full year earlier.   Note: All figures are based on preliminary, unaudited numbers.   Media Contact: Achim Schreck     Head of IR & Corporate Communications Phone +49 (0) 69 450001 1700 achim.schreck@flatexdegiro.com Paul Wolter       Executive Director of Public Relations  Phone +49 (0) 151 70 11 19 89 paul.wolter@flatexdegiro.com Laura Hecker      Executive Director of Investor Relations   Phone +49 (0) 160 3064 404 laura.hecker@flatexdegiro.com   flatexDEGIRO SE – leading platform for building wealth  (www.flatexdegiro.com, ISIN: DE000FTG1111, Ticker: FTK.GR)   With the ambition of being Europe's leading platform for building wealth, flatexDEGIRO serves over 3.5 million retail investors in 16 countries.
