Givaudan is sharpening its strategy toward 2030, with Chief Executive Christian Stammkoetter placing artificial intelligence, portfolio execution and customer cooperation at the center of the next growth phase. In an official Givaudan interview, Stammkoetter described the plan through three priorities: optimize the core business, future-proof operations and grow together with employees, customers and partners.

AI becomes an operating priority

Management sees technology, data and AI as part of the business model rather than as a standalone information technology project. Givaudan says proprietary information from creation, ingredients, applications, consumer insight, customer projects and operations can help accelerate product development, improve customer solutions and make operations more competitive.

The company is also using the strategy to focus investment and execution. Givaudan says it works with more than 18,000 suppliers, uses over 10,000 ingredients and produces more than 140,000 bespoke products. That scale creates a broad base for automation and analytics, but it also increases the need for clear priorities and measurable returns.

Taste and Wellbeing is the test

Taste and Wellbeing remains the area where management sees the clearest need for improvement. Flavour and Taste Solutions account for 86 percent of the division's sales, and Givaudan plans to reinforce the business through innovation, commercial excellence and stronger reach in high-growth markets.

Natural Colours is another focus, with management pointing to regulatory changes in the United States as a conversion opportunity. Givaudan also intends to optimize its Health, Functional and Natural Ingredients portfolio and expand its position in Pet Food. The first-half performance showed the challenge: group sales reached CHF 3.8 billion, up 3.6 percent on a like-for-like basis, while Fragrance and Beauty grew 6.5 percent. Taste and Wellbeing faced a softer food and beverage market but returned to sequential growth in the second quarter.

Givaudan stock traded at EUR 4,348.00 on Lang & Schwarz at 9:45 a.m. CET on Monday, November 2, 2026. Investors can follow the real-time quote of Givaudan stock.

Targets remain unchanged

Givaudan reaffirmed its ambition for average like-for-like sales growth of 4 to 6 percent over the five-year strategy cycle and adjusted free cash flow above 12 percent of sales. For investors, the central question is whether AI-led productivity, innovation and a tighter portfolio can lift Taste and Wellbeing without weakening the momentum in Fragrance and Beauty.
