Drivers and sectors
Lower oil prices and bargain hunting after sharp losses in the previous week helped lift Indonesian stocks. The Jakarta Composite rose as much as 1.4 percent during the session, while reduced expectations of an October Federal Reserve rate increase also supported the rebound, The Edge Malaysia reported.
All sectors finished higher. Transportation led with a 3.17 percent gain, followed by technology at 3.09 percent and energy at 2.67 percent, according to IDXChannel via RCTI Plus. The session ended with 511 advancing stocks, 198 decliners and 254 unchanged.
