Iveco Group reported third-quarter 2026 results on Tuesday, November 3, with revenue growth failing to offset weaker profitability. The figures, published in the Iveco Group results release, give investors the first detailed view of the business after Tata Motors completed its takeover.

Revenue grows as margins weaken

Consolidated revenue rose 1.4 percent year over year to EUR 3.158 billion. Industrial Activities revenue increased 1.5 percent to EUR 3.091 billion, supported mainly by higher European volumes and favorable foreign-exchange effects, partly offset by lower pricing.

Adjusted EBIT fell to EUR 30 million from EUR 111 million a year earlier. Adjusted EBIT for Industrial Activities was nil, compared with EUR 76 million in the prior-year quarter. Iveco attributed the pressure to intensified quality initiatives, an unfavorable product mix, inflation and pricing effects.

Business units show mixed performance

Truck revenue increased 4.5 percent to EUR 2.099 billion, but adjusted EBIT dropped to EUR 10 million from EUR 59 million. Bus revenue declined 5.6 percent to EUR 679 million, while adjusted EBIT fell to EUR 5 million. Powertrain revenue rose 8.7 percent to EUR 810 million, although adjusted EBIT decreased to EUR 24 million.

Adjusted net income turned to a loss of EUR 32 million from income of EUR 40 million in the comparable quarter. Industrial Activities free cash flow was negative EUR 656 million, compared with negative EUR 513 million a year earlier, while available liquidity stood at EUR 3.713 billion at September 30.

Fourth-quarter recovery is next test

Management expects profitability to recover in the fourth quarter of 2026 and projects solid industrial free cash flow generation in the final quarter, in line with normal seasonality. The outlook remains exposed to weaker light-commercial-vehicle demand, macroeconomic uncertainty, product mix and the cost of quality programs.

Iveco stock traded at 14.42 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 17:40 CET on Wednesday, November 4.
