Jungheinrich (ISIN DE0006219934) began production of its new EFG 2/2i and 3/3i electric counterbalanced forklift series on October 27, 2026. The Jungheinrich release said the first EFG 320i had rolled off the production line on October 26 at the company's Moosburg plant.
New trucks target compact warehouses
The EFG 2/2i and 3/3i series covers three-wheel and four-wheel electric forklifts with load capacities from 1.4 to 2.0 tonnes. Jungheinrich said the range builds on more than 170,000 vehicles sold, giving the launch a sizeable installed-product context.
The company positions the new trucks around space efficiency, operator comfort and energy flexibility. Its release says the compact design can increase space efficiency by up to 15 percent, while the turning circle is up to 300 millimeters smaller depending on the model.
What changes for warehouse operators?
The product launch extends Jungheinrich's electric-forklift offering into a 48-volt segment with three performance variants. The energy concept includes integrated lithium-ion batteries with capacities of 346, 460 or 690 Ah, alongside lead-acid batteries and provision for fuel-cell operation, according to Jungheinrich.
Safety and operating data are also part of the launch. The company says the sloping B-pillar reduces the blind spot when reversing by up to 65 percent, while the cab noise level is 63 dB(A).
