KION reported stronger nine-month revenue and adjusted earnings on October 29, 2026, but weaker order intake in its Industrial Trucks & Services segment led the company to maintain a reduced full-year outlook. The results were published in the KION corporate release.
Automation offsets truck weakness
Group revenue increased 3.9 percent to 8.522 billion euros in the first nine months. Adjusted EBIT rose 9.9 percent to 632.5 million euros, lifting the adjusted EBIT margin to 7.4 percent from 7.0 percent a year earlier.
Intelligent Automation Solutions was the main growth engine. Segment revenue advanced 16.9 percent to 2.519 billion euros, while adjusted EBIT climbed 36.6 percent to 172.2 million euros. By contrast, Industrial Trucks & Services revenue slipped 0.7 percent to 6.034 billion euros, and its adjusted EBIT edged down 0.2 percent to 528.7 million euros.
Group order intake fell 4.9 percent to 8.445 billion euros. Industrial Trucks & Services order intake declined 1.2 percent to 5.897 billion euros, while Intelligent Automation Solutions order intake dropped 12.4 percent against a particularly strong prior-year comparison.
Lower targets remain in place
KION expects 2026 revenue of 11.450 billion to 11.750 billion euros, compared with the previous range of 11.525 billion to 12.025 billion euros. Adjusted EBIT guidance stands at 815 million to 875 million euros, down from 880 million to 980 million euros, and free cash flow guidance is 400 million to 500 million euros.
The company said its medium-term target of a double-digit adjusted EBIT margin for the group and both operating segments is now expected only after 2027. Investing.com, in a report carried by Yahoo Finance, said third-quarter adjusted EBIT came in below analyst expectations.
