Lenovo stock remains tied to the company's shift toward AI infrastructure and services. Its latest quarter showed strong growth but also rising execution demands.

AI Growth Meets Market Pressure

  • Lenovo's first-quarter revenue reached a record high as infrastructure and AI-related business expanded.
  • Adjusted profit growth outpaced sales growth, while reported earnings included a loss for the period.
  • The company is using its Hybrid AI strategy to broaden growth beyond personal computers.

Lenovo's first-quarter results highlighted a sharp expansion in AI-related business while the personal-computer market remained a key risk for investors. The company reported the figures on Thursday, August 13, for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

Lenovo stock traded at 2.37 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 09:16 CET on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

AI Becomes a Larger Growth Engine

Group revenue rose 43 percent year over year to US$26.943 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2026/27, according to Lenovo's results release carried by Business Wire. The company described the quarter as its strongest in its history, with all three main business groups delivering record first-quarter revenue and operating profit.

AI-related revenue increased 60 percent to US$9.3 billion and represented 35 percent of group revenue. Lenovo defines this activity as a combination of AI-enabled PCs and smartphones, GPU servers and services that help customers build, scale and manage AI applications.

The Infrastructure Solutions Group was the clearest operational growth driver. Revenue nearly doubled to US$8.5 billion, while operating profit reached US$777 million and the operating margin widened to 9.1 percent. Lenovo also said its AI server pipeline had expanded to US$54 billion, up 157 percent from the preceding quarter.

Profit Growth Brings Important Detail

Adjusted net income attributable to equity holders rose 176 percent year over year to US$1.075 billion. The non-HKFRS measure excludes several fair-value, acquisition-related and impairment items, so it should not be read as a substitute for reported earnings.

Reported figures were less uniform. Lenovo recorded a loss attributable to equity holders of US$609 million for the quarter, compared with income of US$505 million a year earlier. The company also posted operating profit of US$19 million, down from US$785 million in the comparable period. For investors, the contrast puts greater emphasis on the quality and persistence of AI-related growth, rather than on adjusted profit alone.

The Intelligent Devices Group still provides the broadest revenue base. Its revenue increased 27 percent to US$17.1 billion, while the operating margin was 7.1 percent. Lenovo said its global PC market share reached 24.2 percent and that it remained the leading supplier of AI PCs.

The Solutions and Services Group added a higher-margin element to the mix. Revenue rose 28 percent to US$2.9 billion, operating profit increased 39 percent to US$697 million and the operating margin reached 24.2 percent.

What Investors Watch Next

Lenovo's Hybrid AI strategy is producing growth across devices, infrastructure and services, but the next phase will test whether that expansion can offset pressure on PC demand and supply-chain costs. Rising investment also matters: research and development expenses increased 30 percent year over year to US$682 million in the quarter.

Investors will therefore focus on infrastructure demand, AI-server execution, PC volumes, margins and the conversion of the server pipeline into revenue. The next interim-results update is the key scheduled milestone for assessing whether the strong first quarter represents a durable change in Lenovo's earnings mix.
