Mitsubishi Electric completed the full acquisition of U.S.-based PCI Energy Solutions on Monday, November 2, adding a new corporate development to the investment case. Japan IR reported the completion based on the company's disclosure.
PCI expands energy software reach
PCI provides software for energy transaction management and optimization. Its consolidated revenue increased from USD 59.252 million in 2023 to USD 81.383 million in 2025, giving Mitsubishi Electric an established operating platform as it expands its energy management activities.
The acquisition is the latest addition to a broader strategic focus on infrastructure and digital energy. Japan IR said Mitsubishi Electric would disclose any necessary revision to its consolidated earnings forecast if the transaction affects the group outlook.
Higher targets raise execution demands
Mitsubishi Electric's October 30 release covered stronger first-half fiscal 2027 results and revised full-year targets. The company's investor-relations page identifies the announcement as its second-quarter consolidated financial results release. The improved operating outlook gives investors a higher benchmark for the second half, while the PCI integration creates a further execution point.
The real-time quote of Mitsubishi Electric stock was 25.74 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 15:40 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026.
