Volume growth strengthens the quarter
Third-quarter net revenue rose 2.3 percent to USD 9.967 billion, while organic net revenue increased 2.1 percent. Volume and mix contributed 1.8 percentage points, with growth in Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and North America offsetting a decline in Europe.
Reported diluted earnings per share increased to USD 1.02 from USD 0.57 a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share reached USD 0.78, up 5.5 percent on a constant-currency basis. The adjusted figures exclude items such as derivative mark-to-market effects, restructuring and acquisition-related costs, so they are intended to show underlying operating performance more clearly.
Outlook remains unchanged
Mondel?z reaffirmed its target for at least 2 percent organic net revenue growth in 2026 and adjusted EPS growth ranging from flat to 5 percent on a constant-currency basis. The company also expects approximately USD 3 billion in free cash flow for the year.
Management linked the quarter's adjusted gross-profit improvement to lower raw-material and manufacturing costs, productivity gains, higher net pricing and favorable volume and mix. The company said it would continue investing in brands, innovation and distribution.
Mondel?z also announced an agreement to acquire Undercover Snacks, a quinoa crisp brand, adding a new product line to its permissible-indulgence portfolio.
The broader S&P 500 market environment remains relevant for the US-listed consumer-staples company.
