Murata Manufacturing raised its fiscal-year outlook on Friday, October 30, after stronger demand for data-center components drove record first-half revenue and operating profit. Investing.com, citing Reuters, reported that revenue for the six months ended September 30 rose 20.8 percent year over year to 1.09 trillion yen, while operating profit increased 48.9 percent to 245.91 billion yen.
Murata Manufacturing stock traded at 28.21 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 15:17 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026. That was 1.15 percent above the 27.89-euro quote at 15:34 CET on Thursday, November 5, in the previous report, a separate comparison from the daily Xetra close.
Forecast upgrade raises investment demands
Murata lifted its full-year revenue forecast to 2.26 trillion yen from 2.11 trillion yen. The operating-profit target increased to 520 billion yen from 430 billion yen, while the forecast for profit attributable to owners of the parent rose to 396 billion yen from 338 billion yen.
The company linked the stronger outlook to expanding data-center demand, higher production volumes and an improved product mix. Capacitor revenue, including multilayer ceramic capacitors, increased 33.1 percent in the first half to 605.58 billion yen, while computer-related revenue rose 61.2 percent to 235.11 billion yen, according to Investing.com.
Murata also raised its fiscal-year capital-expenditure forecast to 270 billion yen from 255 billion yen. In addition, it plans about 1 trillion yen of investment from fiscal 2026 through fiscal 2030 to expand global MLCC production capacity. For investors, the upgrade improves near-term earnings visibility but increases the importance of demand durability, factory execution and returns on capital.
