- The company raised its 2026 revenue outlook after the quarter ended September 30.
- Solomon Moshkevich became CEO, while Steve Chapman will remain an adviser.
Natera reported strong third-quarter growth on Thursday, November 5, and simultaneously announced a change at the top. The company said revenue increased sharply as testing volumes and average selling prices improved.
Revenue and testing volumes rise
According to Natera, third-quarter revenue reached 794.0 million US dollars for the period ended September 30, 2026, compared with 592.2 million US dollars a year earlier. The company attributed the increase to higher volume and average selling price improvements.
Natera processed 1,093,100 tests during the quarter, up 22.3 percent year over year. Oncology testing was a particular growth area, with 339,500 tests processed, an increase of 60.9 percent. Net loss narrowed to 59.9 million US dollars from 87.5 million US dollars in the year-earlier quarter, while diluted loss per share improved to 0.42 US dollars from 0.64 US dollars.
Guidance moves above three billion
Natera raised its 2026 revenue guidance to a range of 3.005 billion to 3.035 billion US dollars from 2.850 billion to 2.910 billion US dollars. The company expects a gross margin of approximately 64 percent to 66 percent, selling, general and administrative costs of 1.225 billion to 1.300 billion US dollars, research and development costs of 825 million to 925 million US dollars, and positive cash flow.
New CEO takes charge
Separately, Natera appointed Solomon Moshkevich as chief executive officer and a board member, effective immediately. Business Wire reported that Steve Chapman stepped down as CEO and will remain a consultant and adviser to the board. Moshkevich has been with Natera since 2011 and most recently led clinical diagnostics.
The leadership change follows a quarter with stronger operating momentum, but the company remains loss-making. Investors will therefore weigh the higher growth outlook against rising operating expenses and the execution demands of expanding oncology, women's health and organ-health testing.
