Growth Detail Meets Reporting Change

  • Nestle kept its full-year organic-growth outlook and expects free cash flow above CHF 9 billion.
  • Russia left group consolidation at the end of September, changing reported figures from the fourth quarter.
  • The company said third-quarter sales reached CHF 22.8 billion, with volume growth positive across all zones.

Nestle's third-quarter update added operating detail to the outlook already maintained after Russia left group consolidation. The company reported stronger volume momentum across its business while warning that the reporting perimeter will change from the fourth quarter.

In its third-quarter and nine-month sales release published on October 22, Nestle said group sales reached CHF 22.8 billion in the quarter. Organic growth was 4.0%, comprising real internal growth of 2.8% and pricing of 1.1%. Volume growth was positive across all zones and globally managed businesses.

Russia Changes Reported Comparisons

Nestle said its Russian business was no longer consolidated from the end of September after being placed under temporary external administration. The group remains the legal owner of the assets but said it no longer controls their management.

The change does not affect third-quarter or nine-month sales, and Nestle expects only a limited effect on underlying 2026 results. From the fourth quarter, however, reported sales, underlying trading operating profit and free cash flow will reflect the smaller reporting perimeter. The company said Russia had contributed about 2% of group sales and 3% to 4% of underlying trading operating profit and free cash flow on an annualized basis.

Nestle kept its 2026 organic-growth target at 3% to 4%, expects its underlying trading operating profit margin to improve from 2025 and forecasts free cash flow above CHF 9 billion. The deconsolidation is expected to raise year-end 2026 group net debt by about CHF 0.9 billion.

What Investors Should Watch Next

Nestle stock traded at EUR 94.90 on Lang & Schwarz at 6:00 p.m. CET on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

For investors, the key distinction is between operating momentum and reported-accounting effects. The latest quarter showed improving volume growth, while the Russian change will make fourth-quarter and 2027 comparisons less direct.
