Oracle Corporation used its Investor Day on Wednesday, October 28, to set long-term financial targets and explain how its cloud infrastructure, database and applications businesses are expected to support the next investment cycle. The company said it is targeting total revenue of at least 225 billion US dollars in fiscal 2030, according to the Oracle Investor Relations announcement.

The target implies revenue growth of more than 35 percent a year from fiscal 2026 through fiscal 2030. Oracle also set a non-GAAP operating-margin target of at least 40 percent and non-GAAP earnings per share of at least 21 US dollars for fiscal 2030. These are management targets rather than reported results, and their delivery depends on continued expansion across the company's cloud and application portfolio.

Cash flow remains the key test

The investor-day plan puts the timing of cash generation at the center of Oracle's investment case. Capital expenditures are expected to peak in fiscal 2027 and fiscal 2028 before stepping down in fiscal 2029. Management expects free cash flow to turn positive in the second half of fiscal 2028 and reach at least 30 billion US dollars in fiscal 2029.

Oracle said growth should become self-funded from fiscal 2029. That would mark a significant change in the financing profile of its expansion, but it remains a forward-looking plan. The company linked the expected improvement to lower capital spending as well as vendor financing, customer-provided hardware and customer prepayments, which it said should reduce upfront cash requirements.

Funding ceiling limits dilution risk

Oracle committed to limiting additional capital-market funding for its fiscal 2027 through fiscal 2030 investment cycle to 20 billion US dollars. The company currently expects that amount to consist of 10 billion US dollars in equity and 10 billion US dollars in gross debt, excluding refinancing of existing borrowings. Oracle also said net debt to adjusted EBITDA should remain below 3.5 times in fiscal 2029.

The funding ceiling gives investors a clearer framework for assessing the trade-off between rapid artificial intelligence infrastructure growth, balance-sheet pressure and potential dilution. It does not remove execution risk: the revenue targets, margin targets and cash-flow timetable all depend on Oracle converting infrastructure investment into recurring cloud and application revenue.

Near-term guidance stays unchanged

For fiscal 2027, Oracle reaffirmed total revenue of at least 90 billion US dollars and non-GAAP earnings per share of 8.10 US dollars. The company also said its capital-allocation priorities remain maintaining investment-grade credit ratings, paying a dividend and funding growth opportunities.

Oracle stock traded at 119.74 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 12:16 CET on Friday, October 30, 3.59 percent below the Xetra close of 124.20 euros on Thursday, October 29. Investors will therefore continue to weigh the long-term growth promise against the near-term cash demands of the build-out.
