- PACCAR reported higher third-quarter revenue and profit, supported by stronger truck deliveries and record parts revenue.
- Management expects fourth-quarter deliveries to increase as suppliers improve production support.
- North American 2027 demand remains firm, but emissions-related cost uncertainty could affect early-year ordering.
PACCAR reported strong third-quarter results on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, as revenue rose 19 percent year over year to 7.94 billion US dollars and net income increased 44 percent to 847.5 million US dollars. The figures come from PACCAR's financial release.
Strong results, constrained production
PACCAR delivered 40,100 trucks during the quarter, up from 31,900 a year earlier. Management said suppliers were still catching up with higher build rates, limiting output despite strong customer orders.
The company expects fourth-quarter deliveries of 41,000 to 43,000 trucks as supplier performance improves. Truck, parts and other gross margin reached 14.5 percent in the third quarter, while management expects a fourth-quarter range of 14 to 15 percent, according to PACCAR's Q3 earnings call transcript.
Demand outlook stays constructive
Management sees the 2027 US and Canadian Class 8 truck market at 240,000 to 280,000 vehicles. The outlook is supported by economic growth, infrastructure investment and recovering freight activity. Uncertainty around emissions-related nonconformance penalty levels could nevertheless weigh on ordering decisions early in the year.
