Palantir stock faces November 2 earnings test as USD 2.18 billion looms

Palantir Technologies will report its third-quarter results after the U.S. market close on Monday, November 2. Yahoo Finance said analysts expect quarterly revenue of USD 2.18 billion, above Palantir's own outlook of USD 2.160 billion to USD 2.164 billion.

Palantir's second-quarter revenue rose 93 percent year over year to USD 1.935 billion, while U.S. commercial revenue increased 149 percent to USD 764 million. The company also raised its full-year revenue outlook to USD 8.150 billion to USD 8.158 billion, leaving investors focused on whether the new report supports another increase.

Commercial growth sets the tone

U.S. commercial demand is the key operating test. Yahoo Finance reported that commercial total contract value reached USD 2.132 billion in the second quarter, up 153 percent, while net dollar retention stood at 157 percent. Investors are likely to watch whether bookings and commercial revenue can sustain rapid growth on a larger base.

Margins and spending will also shape the market's reading of the release. Adjusted operating margin reached 62 percent in the second quarter, while management had flagged higher third-quarter expenses linked to hiring and marketing. The scale of any new full-year guidance and the first indications for 2027 may therefore matter as much as the headline revenue result.
