Royal Philips announced on October 29, 2026, the launch of UniGuide 3D Live Guidance in Europe and other CE-marked markets. The company's official press release describes the product as a way to bring pre-procedural CT insights into the live workflow of its Azurion image-guided therapy platform.
CT planning enters live procedures
The first release is designed for percutaneous coronary intervention, structural-heart procedures and complex vascular interventions. For CT-guided coronary procedures, coronary CT angiography information can be shown as a 3D overlay or in a synchronized side-by-side view with live image guidance. Philips says the system can display vessel information, plaque characteristics and other disease-related insights during treatment.
UniGuide also accepts planning information from Philips Advanced Visualization Workspace and compatible third-party solutions, subject to the company's DICOM conformance requirements. The information can be viewed on the FlexVision display and handled through the tableside Touch Screen Module. In a Philips usability study involving 15 US clinicians, 93 percent said the integration could help cath-lab efficiency, while 80 percent associated its automation and user experience with maintaining focus during procedures. Those findings are company study results, not reported clinical-outcome data.
What changed since the last report
The product launch is a new company development beyond the MediReport and upcoming-results topics covered in the previous report. UniGuide has been available for sale in CE-marked markets since October 23, 2026, while Philips states that it is currently not available in the United States. Management also describes the release as a foundation for expansion into additional imaging modalities, applications and procedure types.
