- QIAGEN's third-quarter sales exceeded its constant-currency outlook range.
- Higher-margin consumables and pillar growth supported profitability, while the EQT transaction keeps full-year guidance suspended.
QIAGEN's third-quarter results added operating detail to the takeover debate on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. In its QIAGEN Investor Relations release, the company said third-quarter sales rose 3% to 548 million US dollars, both on a reported basis and at constant exchange rates. That exceeded its outlook for 1% to 2% constant-currency growth.
Consumables support operating performance
Consumables and related revenue increased 3% at constant exchange rates and accounted for 91% of sales. Instrument revenue rose 1%, while sales from QIAGEN's pillars increased 7% at constant exchange rates to 415 million US dollars. The rest of the portfolio declined 7% on the same basis.
Adjusted operating income rose 6% to 167 million US dollars, lifting the adjusted operating margin to 30.4% from 29.6% a year earlier. Adjusted diluted earnings per share reached 0.65 US dollars, ahead of the company's outlook for at least 0.62 US dollars at constant exchange rates. Reported diluted earnings per share fell to 0.51 US dollars from 0.60 US dollars, illustrating the difference between the adjusted and reported measures.
Suspended guidance keeps deal central
QIAGEN continues to suspend its full-year 2026 outlook while the proposed EQT Private Equity transaction remains pending. The all-cash offer stands at 46.50 euros per share, but the tender offer has not yet commenced and remains subject to regulatory and other conditions. The transaction is currently expected to close in mid-2027.
At 17:38 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026, Qiagen stock traded at 45.18 euros on Lang & Schwarz. The real-time quote of Qiagen stock gives investors a current reference point, while the offer price remains the key transaction benchmark.
