QIAGEN's final third-quarter results add operating detail to the takeover-driven investment case. The company reported the figures on Wednesday, November 4, after releasing preliminary sales and adjusted earnings on October 21.

According to QIAGEN Investor Relations, third-quarter net sales rose 3% to 548 million US dollars, both on a reported basis and at constant exchange rates. The result exceeded the company's outlook for approximately 1% to 2% constant-currency growth.

Margins improve as guidance remains suspended

Adjusted operating income increased 6% to 167 million US dollars, lifting the adjusted operating margin to 30.4% from 29.6% a year earlier. The company attributed the improvement to sales growth, a larger contribution from higher-margin consumables and efficiency gains, while investments in Parse Biosciences continued.

Reported diluted earnings per share fell to 0.51 US dollars from 0.60 US dollars, partly reflecting items excluded from the adjusted measure. Adjusted diluted earnings per share rose to 0.65 US dollars from 0.61 US dollars and exceeded the outlook for at least 0.62 US dollars at constant exchange rates. Operating cash flow reached 447 million US dollars in the first nine months.

Takeover timetable drives valuation

QIAGEN continues to suspend its 2026 outlook while the proposed all-cash acquisition by EQT Private Equity remains pending. The offer is 46.50 euros per share, while the tender offer has not yet commenced and remains subject to regulatory steps and other conditions. The final results therefore provide a clearer operating snapshot, but the transaction timetable remains the main near-term issue for shareholders.

Qiagen stock traded at 45.26 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 17:11 CET on Thursday, November 5, 2026, 0.07 percent above the Xetra close of Wednesday, November 4; see the real-time quote of Qiagen stock.
