- Quanta Services reported record third-quarter revenue, adjusted earnings and backlog for the period ended September 30.
- Management raised its 2026 revenue, adjusted earnings and free-cash-flow outlook across all key measures.
- Acquisition-related adjustments and execution risks remain relevant when investors assess the non-GAAP figures.
Quanta Services reported record third-quarter results on Thursday, October 29, and lifted its full-year 2026 outlook. The company said revenue for the three months ended September 30 reached USD 12.01 billion, while adjusted diluted earnings per share came to USD 6.06, according to the Quanta Services investor release.
Guidance rises across key measures
Revenue increased from USD 7.63 billion in the year-earlier quarter. GAAP diluted earnings per share rose to USD 4.55 from USD 2.24, and net income attributable to common stock increased to USD 694.9 million from USD 339.4 million.
Quanta now expects 2026 revenue of USD 41.3 billion to USD 41.6 billion, compared with the previous range of USD 39.3 billion to USD 39.7 billion. Adjusted diluted earnings per share guidance moved to USD 17.90 to USD 18.30, while free cash flow is expected at USD 2.50 billion to USD 3.00 billion.
Backlog strengthens visibility
Total backlog reached USD 63.73 billion at September 30, including USD 41.75 billion of remaining performance obligations. Management said demand was broadening across utility, power generation, industrial and technology customers and pointed to potential strong double-digit adjusted EPS growth in 2027.
The adjusted figures exclude or adjust for acquisition and integration costs, changes in contingent consideration, non-cash stock-based compensation and amortization. Investors should therefore read the non-GAAP figures alongside the GAAP results and consider the effect of Quanta's acquisition activity.
