Randstad reported stronger profitability in the third quarter on October 21, as organic revenue growth accelerated and management highlighted a broader recovery across its staffing markets. The company’s Q3 results release showed revenue of EUR 6.115 billion and underlying EBITA of EUR 211 million.

Profit growth gains operating leverage

Organic revenue increased 3.9 percent year over year, while underlying EBITA rose 10 percent from EUR 191 million. The underlying EBITA margin reached 3.5 percent, compared with 3.3 percent a year earlier. Randstad also reported EUR 177 million in operating profit and EUR 110 million in net income.

The underlying measure excludes EUR 15 million of integration costs and one-off items in the quarter. Reported revenue was supported by improving activity and volume trends through the period, with management saying early October showed further improvement.

AI rollout targets productivity gains

CEO Sander van 't Noordende said 75 percent of the business was in growth. He linked the progress to the Partner for Talent strategy, specialization and delivery excellence, supported by digital marketplaces and agentic artificial intelligence.

Management is positioning the technology rollout as an operating lever rather than a separate service line. Digital marketplaces and AI tools are intended to reduce friction and cost-to-serve while helping teams handle staffing processes more efficiently. That gives investors a way to assess whether the cyclical recovery can translate into durable margin expansion.
