Randstad reported stronger third-quarter profitability on October 21, as organic revenue growth accelerated and the staffing group continued its shift toward specialized, digitally enabled talent services. In its Q3 2026 results release, the company said revenue increased 3.9 percent organically to EUR 6.115 billion.

Underlying EBITA rose to EUR 211 million, while the underlying EBITA margin reached 3.5 percent. Randstad also reported EUR 177 million in operating profit and EUR 110 million in net income. The figures show an improvement in profitability while the top line continues to recover from the weaker conditions that had weighed on the staffing market.

Specialization Supports Recovery

Chief Executive Sander van 't Noordende said 75 percent of the business is now in growth. He linked the improvement to Randstad's Partner for Talent strategy, specialization and delivery excellence. The company is focusing on four areas - Operational, Professional, Digital and Enterprise - as it seeks to build a more specialized and scalable platform.

Management also said October trends were improving and that Randstad was well positioned to make further progress. That outlook is important for investors because staffing demand remains closely tied to employer hiring plans and broader economic activity. A sustained recovery in volumes would give the group more room to convert revenue growth into profit, although execution remains central to the investment case.

AI Push Moves Into Operations

Randstad is pairing digital marketplaces with agentic AI to reduce friction and lower the cost of serving clients and talent. The company says these tools are intended to improve productivity and support long-term profitability rather than simply add another service channel.

The strategy gives the group a potential operating lever as demand improves. More digital delivery can help Randstad handle staffing processes at scale, while specialization may support better matching between employers and talent. Investors will therefore look for evidence that the technology rollout continues to lift productivity without weakening service quality or margins.

Randstad stock traded at EUR 40.96 on Lang & Schwarz at 10:10 Berlin time on Friday, October 30, 2026. Investors can follow the real-time quote of Randstad stock.
