- Management maintained its 2026 EBITDA margin target above 15 percent.
Saint-Gobain expects to complete the disposal of Dahl, its Nordic distribution business, on Monday, November 2. The upcoming transaction is the clearest company-specific event on the calendar after the building-materials group reported third-quarter sales growth driven by pricing.
Dahl completion sets the week
The completion date was cited by Ideal Investisseur in a report published on October 28. Saint-Gobain has been rotating its portfolio while adding exposure to higher-growth markets and construction chemicals. The Dahl transaction therefore matters less as a standalone earnings event than as another step in the group's reshaping of its distribution activities.
Pricing offsets weaker volumes
Saint-Gobain reported third-quarter revenue of 11.6 billion euros on October 27. Comparable sales increased 2.5 percent, with prices up 3.2 percent while volumes declined 0.7 percent. Revenue at actual scope rose 1.8 percent to 11.624 billion euros, reflecting portfolio and currency effects.
For the first nine months, comparable growth reached 1.2 percent, while revenue at actual scope fell 0.2 percent to 35.219 billion euros. Construction Chemicals was a standout, growing 6.3 percent on a comparable basis during the quarter. The regional picture remained mixed, with Asia-Pacific advancing 8.0 percent and the Americas growing 0.6 percent.
Margin target remains the anchor
Management maintained its expectation for comparable sales growth in the second half of 2026 and kept its full-year EBITDA margin target above 15 percent. For investors, the key test is whether pricing and portfolio actions can continue to protect profitability while weaker volumes persist in parts of Europe and the Americas.
