Profit rises as assets expand

Schroders entered the transaction process with record assets under management of GBP 867.8 billion at June 30, 2026, up 12 percent from GBP 776.6 billion a year earlier, according to Asset Management Interview.

The same report puts adjusted operating profit at GBP 459.8 million for the first half of 2026, up 46 percent from GBP 316.0 million. Statutory profit before tax reached GBP 396.8 million, while net outflows including joint ventures totaled GBP 4.2 billion for the period.

The combination of higher assets and stronger profit gives the transaction a different financial backdrop than a distressed exit. Market performance added GBP 51.4 billion to assets, while the outflow figure shows that operating momentum and client retention are not identical measures.
