- One Cameron LNG liquefaction train was offline for scheduled maintenance, while Sempra said customer service would not be interrupted.
- Sempra is due to publish third-quarter results before the US market opens on Thursday, November 5.
- The maintenance update puts execution at Sempra Infrastructure back in focus ahead of the earnings release.
Sempra stock traded at 77.35 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 12:17 CET on Monday, November 2, 2026, 0.17 percent below the Xetra close of Friday, October 30. The move came as investors focused on scheduled work at Cameron LNG and Sempra's upcoming quarterly report.
World Energy News reported on Sunday that one of the three liquefaction trains at Sempra's Cameron LNG facility in Louisiana was offline for planned maintenance. The report cited lower natural-gas deliveries and LSEG data showing feedgas consumption of 1.3 billion cubic feet per day, compared with 2 billion cubic feet per day when all three trains operate.
Operational update before results
Sempra said the maintenance was scheduled and that LNG production and flows could fluctuate, but customer service would not be interrupted. Cameron LNG is located in Hackberry, Louisiana, and has three trains with total export capacity of 13.5 million metric tons per year. Sempra Infrastructure holds a 50.2 percent stake in the project, according to the report.
The operational update matters because LNG infrastructure is part of Sempra's broader growth platform alongside its regulated electric and natural-gas utilities. A temporary train outage can affect operating flows, but the available statement does not indicate a change to customer commitments or a broader disruption.
Sempra said on October 19 that it will release third-quarter 2026 results before 8 a.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, November 5. Senior leaders are scheduled to host a conference call with a slide presentation at noon Eastern Time. The release will give investors the next formal update on operating performance, guidance and project execution.
Investors will therefore be watching whether the maintenance remains within the company's operating expectations and how management frames LNG infrastructure alongside regulated-utility investment. The current report provides an operational data point, but it does not by itself establish a change in Sempra's earnings outlook.
