Siemens Energy entered the final week of October with two project developments in its energy-transition businesses. On October 29, Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Siemens Energy signed a cooperation memorandum covering floating offshore wind, supply-chain development and workforce training, according to Japan's METI.

Japan broadens wind platform

The memorandum also includes Siemens Energy's plan to establish its first strategic operations and maintenance hub in Asia in Hokkaido. The agreement supports future floating-wind projects and aims to reinforce Japan's wind-power industrial base, but it does not specify a project value or binding construction timetable.

Mexico advances electrolyzer order

On October 30, Transition Industries announced a definitive EPC agreement with Siemens Energy and Techint Engineering & Construction for an approximately 210-megawatt electrolyzer facility at the Pacifico Mexinol project in Sinaloa, Mexico. Global Hydrogen Review reported that the agreement remains subject to customary conditions, including completion of project financing, with construction expected to begin in early 2027.

The facility is planned to use Siemens Energy's Elyzer P-300 technology. The project gives the electrolyzer business a large Americas reference, while the financing conditions and delivery schedule remain important execution factors for investors.

The real-time quote of Siemens Energy stock showed the shares at 126.28 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 10:12 Berlin time on Saturday, October 31, 0.50 percent below the Xetra close of Friday, October 30.
