Sika (ISIN CH0418792922) acquired Dubai-based waterproofing membrane maker Duproof on October 26, 2026, adding a local production site to its Middle East network, according to Sika. The company said Duproof's bituminous membranes and contractor relationships could broaden its offering for major infrastructure, commercial and residential projects.
Dubai site adds regional capacity
Duproof operates a strategically located production site in the UAE. Sika plans to distribute its membranes through the existing Sika UAE network while gaining access to Duproof's contractors and applicators, creating cross-selling opportunities.
The acquisition also extends a regional manufacturing footprint that already includes facilities in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Sika said the additional site should strengthen supply capabilities across the Middle East, although the release did not disclose financial terms or Duproof revenue.
