Profitability improves across industrial operations
Adjusted operating profit rose to SEK 2.845 billion from SEK 2.553 billion. The adjusted operating margin increased to 16.3 percent from 15.4 percent, while reported operating profit reached SEK 2.778 billion compared with SEK 2.166 billion in the prior-year quarter.
Management attributed the improvement to commercial execution, especially in Specialized Industrial Solutions. The segment posted 8.3 percent organic sales growth, while SKF said rightsizing savings reached SEK 350 million during the quarter. The company now expects an annual savings run rate of SEK 2 billion by mid-2027, six months earlier than previously communicated.
Separation sets the next milestones
The third-quarter figures cover continuing operations after SKF began reporting the Automotive business as discontinued operations. Shareholders approved the distribution of SKF Vertevo shares at an extraordinary general meeting, and the planned separation remains central to the investment case.
SKF expects a similar market environment in the fourth quarter but said organic sales should strengthen year over year. The company also pointed to continued volatility and cost pressure in input materials and logistics. Its full-year guidance includes a tax level of about 27 percent for continuing operations and capital additions of about SEK 2.5 billion.
SKF Vertevo is scheduled to hold its Capital Markets Day on November 17, 2026. The planned record date for the distribution is November 27, with the first trading day for SKF Vertevo shares expected on December 1.
