Skydance is adding a defined employee deadline to its post-merger integration plan. According to the Charlotte Observer, qualifying workers must decide by November 8, 2026, at 11 p.m. Eastern Time whether to accept the one-time offer.
Buyout terms add a measurable milestone
The report says the standard package offers two weeks of severance pay for every year worked at Paramount or Warner Bros. Discovery, although individual terms may differ. The company has not disclosed the number of eligible employees or the departures it expects.
Skydance chairman and chief executive David Ellison and co-chief executive Ynon Kreiz announced the program in an employee memo on October 26. The same memo set out a five-day in-office policy across the combined company, with implementation phased by location and advance notice for employees.
Integration remains the central issue
The policy broadens a work pattern already used at Paramount to employees from the former Warner Bros. Discovery operations. For investors, the buyout deadline creates a near-term milestone for assessing workforce turnover, while the absence of a disclosed participation target leaves the potential cost and savings impact open.
