- Stabilus plans a new electrostatic painting facility at its Sânpetru plant in Romania.
- The project is intended to expand shock absorber production capacity and respond to market demand.
- The annual report is scheduled for December 7, while the share buyback program is set to continue through January 15, 2027, at the latest.
Stabilus is adding a fresh investment signal ahead of its next scheduled financial publication. Romania Insider reported on Monday, November 2, that the group is preparing an electrostatic painting facility at its Sânpetru plant near Brasov, Romania.
Romanian plant prepares new line
The project is valued at approximately EUR 2.5 million. Technical documentation has been submitted to the local environmental authority, while planning and installation are expected to take five months.
The line would occupy about 600 square metres inside the existing Module III production hall and is designed to paint shock absorbers. Its planned maximum capacity is seven million units per year. The process would use electrostatic technology and water-based paints with a volatile organic compound content of 1% to 6%.
The reported investment expands Stabilus's local manufacturing infrastructure, but the announcement does not quantify an additional revenue or earnings effect. Its relevance for investors therefore lies first in capacity and execution, rather than in an immediate change to financial guidance.
