- Symrise reported 5.3% organic sales growth in the third quarter, led by volumes across both operating segments.
- The company is moving its ONE SYM Transformation from organizational redesign into implementation.
- Management expects fourth-quarter growth to moderate while keeping its full-year targets unchanged.
Symrise reported stronger volume momentum in the third quarter on October 28, while its official outlook remained unchanged. The company said organic sales growth reached 5.3%, with customer demand and easier year-on-year comparisons supporting performance across both operating segments. The Symrise financial release provides the company’s latest operating update.
Segment Momentum Broadens
Taste, Nutrition & Health generated organic sales growth of 5.2% in the quarter, with reported sales of EUR 790 million. Scent & Care grew organically by 5.6% and recorded reported sales of EUR 520 million.
The nine-month segment picture adds context for investors. Taste, Nutrition & Health reached EUR 2.32 billion in reported sales, while Scent & Care generated EUR 1.53 billion. Pet Food and Care & Wellness returned to positive organic growth, while Asia Pacific led regional momentum.
Targets Stay Intact
Symrise reaffirmed its 2026 targets for organic sales growth of 2% to 4%, an adjusted EBITDA margin of 21.5% to 22.5% and an adjusted business free cash flow margin above 14%. Management expects full-year organic growth near the midpoint of the range, but sees the adjusted EBITDA margin in the lower half as it reinvests in IT, innovation and people.
Fourth-quarter growth is expected to moderate against higher prior-year comparisons. That points to a more demanding near-term comparison for the stock even as the company describes underlying customer activity as healthy.
Strategy Moves Into Execution
The ONE SYM Transformation is moving from organizational redesign into implementation, with priorities including commercial excellence, differentiated innovation, scale benefits and digitalization. Symrise also highlighted portfolio actions including the completed Terpenes divestment, the Floral Concept acquisition and investment in Aroma Molecules capacity.
