Tesla shareholders face a deadline on Friday, November 6, to enter the company’s random drawing for limited in-person attendance at the annual meeting. Tesla has set the meeting for Thursday, December 3, at 3:00 p.m. Central Time, according to the company’s annual meeting details.
Shareholder Deadline Comes First
The drawing is open to eligible shareholders and is intended to determine who may attend at Tesla’s Austin headquarters. Tesla says the virtual meeting will offer the same public livestream as well as voting and written-comment options for shareholders.
The company also says shareholders must have owned shares as of October 13 to join the virtual meeting through the shareholder platform. Tesla expects to begin notifying selected in-person attendees during the week of November 16.
Autonomy Remains A Key Theme
The annual meeting will give investors another scheduled opportunity to assess Tesla’s plans for autonomous driving, robotaxi services, energy storage and Optimus. Those themes followed the company’s third-quarter results and remain central to the debate over how quickly newer businesses can offset pressure on the automotive operation.
