Texas Instruments announced two new devices on Thursday, November 5, 2026, aimed at factory automation, robotics and Industrial Internet of Things applications. The announcement was carried by PR Newswire and published by Yahoo Finance.

The TICS100MOD is a multiprotocol communications system-on-module that supports EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and Profinet on one platform. Engineers can switch protocols through a firmware update, which can reduce the need for separate hardware when factory networks change.

The second product, the TIOM2212, is a dual-channel IO-Link master. It connects sensors and actuators to higher-level Industrial Ethernet networks and is designed to work with TI's Sitara industrial networking system-on-chip family and AM13Ex real-time microcontrollers.

Availability and industry showcase

Texas Instruments said preproduction quantities of the TIOM2212 are available now through TI.com. The company expects the TICS100MOD to become available by the end of 2026. The timing gives customers access to the IO-Link component before the broader multiprotocol module reaches the market.

Texas Instruments will present the technology at electronica in Munich from Tuesday, November 10, through Friday, November 13. The exhibit is scheduled for Hall C4, booth 159. The company also plans demonstrations covering multiprotocol Industrial Ethernet, IO-Link, neural processing units and time-sensitive networking.

The product announcement adds to the industrial automation and edge-intelligence themes Texas Instruments highlighted in its November 3 update on 70 years of operations in Europe. That update named ABB Robotics, Porsche, Schneider Electric and Husqvarna Group among European companies working with TI on automation, vehicles, energy management and connected outdoor equipment. Texas Instruments said.
